The exhibition architecture for Daniela Bergschneider’s solo show was developed as a response to the philosophy of her artwork.
The spatial layout introduces a new division of Kunstgarasjen's main room, acting as a direct prolongation of the gallery's existing partition walls and aligning with the building’s geometry. However, instead of rigid construction, the architecture is realized through soft, semi-translucent fabric, a material that resonates with the tactile essence of Bergschneider’s practice.
Much like the fabric connecting porcelain "bones" in her sculptures, the curtains are gathered and suspended on a raw aluminum pipe. Executed in white to match the tone of the gallery walls, the installation blurs the boundaries between architecture and surface. The spatial intervention subtly guides visitor movement, creating moments of quiet intimacy for smaller works while expanding into a more generous space around the central piece.
